Bugs Bunny Skates into Rome

Cartoon legend Bugs Bunny will be skating into Rome this year in a show to entertain the whole family.

Bugs Bunny on Ice is the name for the 2007 edition of Holiday on Ice, which will entertain people staying in hotels in Rome between February 22nd and March 4th.

Held at the Italian capital's Palaghiaccio, the show will include 40 international athletes showing off some spectacular ice-skating skills.

The performers will tell a tale inspired by the many well-known adventures of Bugs Bunny and also making reference to the Jules Verne novel Around the World in 80 Days.

Spectators will be treated to a story involving Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, competing in a round the world race.

Mortal enemies Tweety Pie and Sylvester the cat will also appear in the show, embarking on a trip from Broadway to Mexico via Australia, China, Russia, India and Africa.

Fans of the Warner Bros cartoons are unlikely to be disappointed by this show, with many other popular characters, such as Wile E Coyote and Speedy Gonzales, also included in the performance.
