Chill out to Some Jazz Sounds in Venice
The city of Venice will be made even cooler this summer when it hosts the Venice Jazz Festival from July 27th to August 2nd.
Celebrating its second outing, the festival will bring a series of concerts to the Teatro la Fenice in Piazza San Marco and other locations around Venice.
One of the highlights will be a performance on a stage in Piazza San Marco by singer-songwriter Paolo Conte and the Symphonic Orchestra of Venice on July 31st.
Jazz fans staying in cheap hotels in Venice will also be able to see trumpet player Wynton Marsalis at the Teatro la Fenice on July 28th, as well as performances by Charles Lloyd, Richard Galliano and many others.
A number of events are held to complement the festival, including art exhibitions, conferences and culinary fairs.
The majority of the festival elements are based around Piazza San Marco, the famous square in Venice located in front of St Mark's Basilica.
