Enjoy Views of Video Art in Venice
Visitors to Venice in September will be able to attend the only fair in Italy dedicated to the field of video art.
This year's Venice Video Art Fair will be held from September 11th to 14th to coincide with the opening of the 11th International Architecture Exhibition.
Now in its third year, the event will feature 25 international galleries in booths equipped with high-tech video and audio technologies.
The programme of shows will feature works created by Frac Nord of France and by Bologna-based group Mambo.
People staying in cheap hotels in Venice will find the 2008 Venice Video Art Fair based in the central building of San Servolo island, which is just a few minutes from Piazza San Marco.
Napoleon Bonaparte was thought to have once described Piazza San Marco as "the drawing room of Europe".
The square boasts one of Venice's most popular attractions – the Basilica di San Marco, which is a famous example of Byzantine architecture.
