Esquilino, Rome - Reviews
The hotel has existed since 1920, and it is one of the oldest hotels in Rome. It is situated in a 19th-century palace built by the Aragona family, and it was once the residence of Prince Parini. This family-friendly air-conditioned establishment has 21 rooms and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception. Lift access and a breakfast room are also offered.
Lovely people and service
Myself, my wife and our 3 year old daughter stayed in the Esquilino at the end of February 2010. Despite the simple accommodation and unfinished decor/ damaged decor in the room the service and reception we experienced from the staff more than made up for it. They were very friendly and helpful and always accommodated everything we asked for plus were brilliant with our little daughter (who by the end of our stay referred to one member of staff as "the lovely man"!) Definitely recommended for family accommodation on a budget.
