Explore Infinity in Venice
Travellers who like exhibitions that take on weighty issues will certainly find something to interest them in Venice this year.
On June 6th, the city's Palazzo Fortuny launched In-Finitum, a display that looks at the artistic exploration of the subject of infinity and the universe.
The exhibition is based on the fact that infinity has long been a compelling topic for artists, scientists, writers and intellectuals owing to its associations with perfection and spirituality.
A selection of paintings, sculptures, writings and other pieces inspired by the concept feature in the exhibition, which people staying in cheap hotels in Venice will be able to see at Palazzo Fortuny until November 15th.
Some of the most influential figures in the history of art and culture are represented in the showcase, including Pablo Picasso, Paul Cezanne, Joan Miro and Eugene Delacroix.
Venice is home to many other museums and galleries that holidaymakers can visit to satisfy their appetite for culture, such as the Museo Correr and the Ca' Rezzonico.
