Explore Marieschi's Views of Venice
Art lovers staying in cheap hotels in Venice will be able to appreciate a unique view of the city at a special exhibition this year.
Until May 26th, the Ca' Rezzonico museum in Venice will host a display of Michele Marieschi's engravings of city views.
Some 22 engravings will go on show, all taken from the collections of the Ca' Rezzonico museum, from the recently restored album Cicogna.
Marieschi was a painter and engraver of landscapes and vistas, who lived and worked in the first half of the 18th century, alongside such famous contemporaries as Canaletto and Francesco Guardi.
Visitors to Venice interested in finding out more about his work can find the Ca' Rezzonico museum on the city's Grand Canal, at the point where the waterway is joined by the Rio di San Barnaba.
The establishment is a public museum dedicated to the exploration of 18th century Venice.
