Florence Jazz Festival Calls the Tune

Florence jazz festival calls the tune Jazz fans will be in for a treat this summer, as Florence once again holds its two-month long free festival.

Different concerts will be staged every night in the Piazza SS Annunziata from June 21st until September 8th 2006, giving enthusiasts the perfect excuse to visit the beautiful and historic city.

The festival's creators have created a mix of, world music, contemporary expressive and classical music style concerts, while Afro-American, folk, funk and Philadelphia sounds can also be found at the event.

Florence offers tourists a great range of food and wine, with dishes that have become famous throughout the world, such as the Florentine steak.

Gorgeous scenery and exquisite architecture provide the perfect background to enjoy the city's cuisine in, in addition to many comfortable, cheap hotels to head back to after a few glasses.
