Get Jammin' in Venice

Music fans staying in cheap hotels in Venice will be able to rock out to their heart's content in June at the Heineken Jammin' Festival.

This event is one of Italy's top rock festivals and always attracts a star-studded line-up of international bands and artists to Parco San Giuliano.

Visitors to this year's event, which will take place between June 20th and 22nd, will see their weekend kick off with performances by Chris Cornell, Iggy and the Stooges, the Sex Pistols and Linkin Park, among others.

Mab and Vasco are among the bands playing on the second day, before the festival is brought to an end by Alanis Morissette and The Police.

Visitors who are interested in dance as well as music will also be kept entertained in Venice this year, as it will host a contemporary dance festival between June 14th and 29th.

Part of the famous Venice Biennale, this event will take place at locations including Piccolo Teatro Arsenale and Teatro alle Teste and will take on the theme of beauty in art.
