Get Your Motor Running in Bologna

Italy has something of a history when it comes to the automobile industry with names like Lamborghini and Ferrari in its heritage.

Between December 7th and 16th this year Italians and visitors alike will celebrate the country's links to motoring at the Bologna Motor Show.

Held at Bologna Fiere, the event will involve a number of initiatives and attractions, including debates on various issues surrounding the automobile market and competitions, displays and public appearances by big names in international motor racing.

There will also be driving simulators and virtual racing games to keep the kids happy.

The organisers of the show claim that it has a reputation for "sensing" trends in the car industry and will therefore dedicate particular attention this year to research and topics that will become important to the market in the future.

Over its 26 years the Bologna Motor Show has developed into a wildly popular event, with over 1.2 million people attending last year.
