Go Vinyl Mad in Milan
The vinyl record is one of those unusual things - like train spotting or stamp collecting - that borders on an obsession for the people who are interested in its history and value but is entirely prosaic and uninspiring to those people on the outside looking in.
Legions of music fans around the world swear by vinyl and look down on the CD with disgust and many of these will be congregating to share their opinions in Milan next February.
On February 2nd and 3rd the Vinilmania record fair will be held at the Parco Esposizioni Novegro in Milan, to the delight of vinyl collectors and music buffs around the world.
Some 300 exhibitors regularly attend the fair, with the majority coming from Italy but many also hailing from the UK, Germany, Spain, France, the USA and others
Visitors also come from far and wide to explore the weird and wonderful collections of rarities on show and hopefully pick up some bargains.
Music fans staying in hotels in Milan for this fair will experience a visit to one of Italy's largest and most popular cities, which boasts such picturesque landmarks as the Comune di Milano and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
