Magic of Disney Comes to Life in Rome
People staying in cheap hotels in Rome in December should be sure to pay a visit to the city's PalaLottomatica if they have some young family members to keep entertained.
From December 3rd to 8th, this venue will play host to the Disney Live Mickey Mouse Magic Show, which will bring a host of magical entertainment associated with Disney movies to the stage.
The idea behind the show is to combine performers in Disney character costumes with talented magicians to perform illusions that audience members will be familiar with from films.
Viewers will be treated to an on-stage performance of the fairy godmother transforming Cinderella's rags into a ball-gown and Mickey Mouse's enchantment of the brooms from Fantasia.
The cast of the show features a number of talented illusionists, including Jim Steinmeyer, who has worked with David Copperfield and Siegried and Roy.
Visitors to Rome will find the PalaLottomatica, which is currently home to the Italian professional basketball team Lottomatica Roma, in the Esposizione Universale Roma complex.
