Meet Bruce Nauman in Venice
Bruce Nauman, the highly influential American artist, will be the subject of an exhibition in Venice this year.
The show, entitled Bruce Nauman: Topological Gardens, will open on June 7th and will serve to represent the United States in the 53rd International Art Exhibition at the 2009 Venice Biennale.

The show will offer a fascinating introduction to the central themes of Nauman's 40-year career.
One of the main focuses will be the subject of topology - an area of mathematics related to space, shape and dimension - and how this relates to the artist's own exploration of boundaries between public and private life.
While he is arguably best-known for his neon signs of emotive words and phrases, Nauman has also worked in art forms including sculpture, photography and printmaking.
