Rome to Call Action on Film Festival
People staying in cheap hotels in Rome this October will notice an air of cultural anticipation around the city as it prepares to host its International Film Festival.
This event will see some of the top international stars from the world of movies descend on the Italian capital from October 22nd to 31st.
Taking place for the third time this year, the festival follows two hugely popular events in previous years. It will include screenings, retrospectives, meetings, exhibitions and concerts.
One of the highlights of the 2008 festival will be an appearance by movie megastar Al Pacino, who will pick up the Marc'Aurelio Alla Carriera award, which is being presented to the Actors Studio.
Pacino said: "I am thrilled to represent the Actors Studio at this wonderful Film Festival."
Other high points of the cultural celebration – which will be based at the Auditorium Parco della Musica – will include a preview of The Duchess, starring Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes.
