Dinning out in Rome
Below are just a few of Rome's many restaurants for you to eat at. We suggest that for £10 you could try L'lsola Della Pizza located in the heart of the Prati district this noisy and friendly pizzeria offers a wide selection of pizza as well as fantastic deserts.
For up to £20 try Sora Marherita on Piazza delle Cinque Scole. This restaurant offers typical Roman cuisine right in the heart of the old Jewish ghetto, here you could try home-made pasta with cheese, or Roman style tripe.
For dinning up to £40 then try out II Gonfalone located at 7 via del Gonfalone. This restaurant serves classic Roman and Italian dishes set in a renaissance building with a charming outdoor eating area.
Rome's Places of Interest
Piazza di Spagna is the location of the famous Spanish steps and is an essential spot for tourists to make for. Also the Keats Shelly museum and the designer-shopping street of via dei Condotti.
Bronze Age
Part of the National Archaeological collection, restored Aula Ottagona at the far end of Piazza del Republic is filled with 2,000 year old bronzes. And is open from 09-1300 and 15.00 to 18.00 the building is closed on Mondays.
Piazza Vittorio is a bit of authentic Rome with a touch of eastern twist. This grand decaying square is certainly worth a visit, especially in the morning with its covered market. After building up an appetite then try out one of the many curry houses in the area.
Outside Rome
For a day trip then why not visit Orvietto carved out of a huge plateau of volcanic rock. The centre of this town makes a pleasant day strolling and wine shopping, and is one hour by train from Rome.
Night out in Rome
Three choices for a night out, let's start low key. Try out Babbingtons at 23 Piazza di Spagna for an old English tea room.
For live music then try II Locale at 3 Vicolo del Fico this place is very popular with locals, and also has a cocktail bar.
For those wishing to stay out late then try No Stress Brasil at 35 Via Degil Stradivari. Here you can listen to Brazilian musicians playing until late, then a DJ will take you through until dawn.

By Bus/ Train
The COTRAL is a bus leaving every half-hour from the airport to Anagnina metro. From here you take metro line A to Termini station. If you wish you could take the same bus to Ciampino, and transfer onto a local train that runs almost every 15 minutes into Termini.
Airport Bus
Rome's Ciampino Airport is 15kms from the southeast of Rome. The low-cost airline easyjet offers a bus journey into Termini that costs €8 and takes 40 minutes.
