Spend Christmas in the Lagoon

There are surely few more romantic or magical places to spend Christmas than Venice, Italy and visitors this year will be able to enjoy Natale in Laguna, or Christmas in the Lagoon.

This festival will run from December 1st to 23rd this year at the Campo Santo Stefano.

It is organised by the Venetian Craftsmen's and Tradesmen's Association and sees a range of handcrafted products go on sale, all of which have been checked to guarantee their quality.

Visitors will be able to browse through glass and lace items, handmade papers, soaps and perfumes, toys, creches and leather objects.

There is also a corner of the bustling Campo Santo Stefano reserved for food and drink stalls, where producers from all over Italy sell fare that represents the country's different regions.

Performances and concerts also take place in the square and there are activities organised to keep younger visitors entertained.

Venice is one of the world's most popular destinations for travellers and holidaymakers, with its world famous canals, choice of hotels and landmarks including the Basilica de San Marco.
