Take Yourself for a Ride

Take yourself for a ride
Those who love their sport on two wheels have a good reason to head to Italy as Imola hosts the latest round of the Superbike World Championship on October 1st.

Imola's race circuit, which is also used for the San Marion Grand Prix, will play host to top bikers from around the world such as Troy Bayliss,Yukio Kagayama and James Toseland.

While the circuit isn't actually in San Marino, the tiny republic, surrounded entirely by Italy, is one of many attractions close by, along with the beach resort of Rimini, historic Bologna and the Appenine mountains.

Originally a secluded Christian community, San Marino has many historic buildings such as the fortified settlement on Mount Titano.

The country is also famous for its coins and stamps, which provide a major source of tourist income.

The region has a wealth of accommodation options, including many cheap hotels.
