Tiber Tiber Paddling Right

Tiber Tiber paddling right Rome is not normally thought of as a place for adventure sports but in late April to early May, canoeists have the chance to take part in a seven-day paddle down the river into the eternal city.

Setting off on April 24th, the course involves between 20 and 30 km per day of gradual descent down the river from Citta de Castello to Rome, with plenty of white water and beautiful scenery along the way.

Competitors need to bring their own equipment including sleeping gear and can book an all-inclusive trip for €100 (£66).

At the end of the adventure, canoeists can then book into a cheap hotel in Rome and enjoy the sights of the city, from the Coliseum to the Spanish steps, from the Vatican City to the Olympic Stadium, where football fans can catch a Roma or Lazio game.
