Visitors to the Italian region of Umbria can enjoy several days of jazz in the city of Perugia in July.

Held from July 6th to the 15th, Umbriajazz 07 features a series of performances in various venues all over town, including some free open air summer concerts.

Organisers have published a detailed line-up of acts, with performers from both Italy and overseas including George Benson, Al Jarreau, Dionne Warwick and the Francesco Fabbri Dynamic Trio.

In addition to the jazz, visitors to Perugia will find plenty else to see and do.

As well as enjoying the sunshine, fine wines and cuisine, those staying in cheap hotels in the city will be able to see a wide array of attractive historic architecture, with notable structures including the Etruscan Arch, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Pallazo Dei Priori, which includes the town hall and the Collegio della Mercanzia, plus the National Gallery of Umbria, which has many art treasures from the region's rich artistic heritage.
