Visit the Wine Lake
Those who like a tipple will be able to find a nice drink at Lake Garda in Italy in October.
Rather than try to drink Italy's largest stretch of water dry, however, visitors can taste something rather nicer in the Bardolino Grape Festival, which celebrates the town's strong vinicultural traditions.
Bardolino is a small town on the shores of the lake which hosts the festival every October, offering a wide variety of wines to tantalise the tastebuds, reports Whatsonwhen.
All this comes with lots of local meats, nightly classical music concerts and a firework display, plus of course the chance to enjoy superb Lakeland scenery in an area nestling in the Alpine foothills.
Naturally, there are plenty of opportunities for boating and watersports, as well as sampling the various other culinary delicacies of the area.
