Visit Venice for the 2010 Carnival
Travellers staying in cheap hotels in Venice next February will be able to experience the highlight of the city's cultural calendar.
The 2010 Venice Carnival will run from February 6th to 16th.
Every year, the event adopts a different theme that runs through its programme of masquerade balls, music concerts, parades and other celebrations.
In 2010, the theme will be 'sensations', with visitors invited to make the most of their senses and explore the vibrant and colourful experiences on offer throughout Venice.
Highlights of the event programme for next year's Venice Carnival will include the Serenissima Grand Ball on February 6th, which will pay tribute to Mozart and his famous operas.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to take special gondola tours along the city's canals to see its sights and visit restaurants.
Some of the city's most famous locations host events for the Venice Carnival, including St Mark's Square and the Palazzetto Pisani.
