Places of Interest in Fez
The hot spring, Sidi Harazem, 15km South-east of the city attracts most of the population of Fez go on a Sunday. The water is tepid and metallic tasting. It is located in the lip of a broad valley filled with a bathing complex.
To get a glimpse of the religious life in the city, visit the Koranic college ‘Medersa Bou Inania’. This is the only mosque in Morocco that non-muslims are allowed to visit, and is open 9am-5pm except on Fridays. The decoration inside this 14th century building shows intricate craftsmanship.
An ideal place to relax during your break is one of the many hammams, or traditional baths, which are located within the city walls. Each costs around £14.
The ideal place to view the city from above is the collection of ruins from the Merinide dynasty, situated to the North of the city.
Dining out in Fez
Les Merinides is located on Route du tour de Fes. Here one can enjoy a drink on the high altitude terrace.

Getting to Fez
GB Airways flies twice weekly from Gatwick. Fez’s airport, Saiss is 14km south of the city.
A taxi from the airport to city centre will be around £9, bus no.16 runs approx. every half hour and costs around 50p. The journey takes around 30mins.
