Amsterdam Presents the Ninth Floor
The Amsterdam Photography Museum will present a harsh but interesting exhibition of the work of young American artist Jessica Dimmock this year.
Dimmock's series of photographs called The Ninth Floor will go on display at the museum from March 14th to June 1st.
The harrowing collection explores the lives of a group of young heroin addicts living on the ninth floor of an apartment in Manhattan, New York.
Dimmock takes a highly intimate view of her subjects with photographs that appear simultaneously sympathetic and ruthless.
The full range of human emotions is encompassed in the collection, from despair and anger to satisfaction and bliss.
