Discover New Perspectives on Africa
Visitors to Amsterdam over the coming months will be able to visit a fascinating photographic exhibition providing new perspectives on African life and society.
Snap Judgments will be open at the Stedelijk Museum CS until September 30th.
This show features the work of 35 contemporary African artists and photographers who provide unique views of their home continent.
The images included in the exhibition offer a commentary on the massive changes that are currently taking place in Africa's economic, social and cultural spheres.
Visitors will also be able to see artwork that departs from the usual stereotypical representations of African language, history and day-to-day life.
Artists participating in the exhibition hail from countries all across Africa, from Morocco in the north to Mozambique in the south and from Kenya in the east to Senegal in the west.
Visitors to Amsterdam will be able to find the Stedelijk Museum at the city's Oosterdokskade.
