Explore Art Nouveau in Amsterdam
Art lovers staying in cheap hotels in Amsterdam over the coming months can boost their knowledge of the fascinating field of Art Nouveau thanks to an exhibition in the city.
A showcase at the Amsterdam Hermitage, focusing on Art Nouveau during the reign of the last tsars of Russia, will run throughout the months of February and March.
It will concentrate mainly on the birth and development of Art Nouveau, with a particular focus on the gifts exchanged between France and Russia.
One of the highlights of the exhibition will be the collection of vases and jewellery from St Petersburg's Hermitage, which has never been on show before in the Netherlands.
