Visitors to the exhibition are given the opportunity to glimpse everyday life in modern-day Indonesia through footage that was collected by cameras that were based at eight different sites around the island nation.

The films give an impromptu look at daily life in a number of locations, including big cities, countryside villages, markets, schools, karaoke bars and football stadiums.

People whose stays in cheap hotels in Amsterdam are planned for later in the year will be able to head to the Tropenmuseum from October 31st to visit the Vodou exhibition.

This display of more than 250 impressive and unusual objects explores the voodoo culture in Haiti, challenging misconceptions about the topic and showing how various rituals are part of everyday life in the Caribbean nation.
