The Holland International Film Festival offers a chance to see contemporary animated film in the town of Utrecht from November 1st to the 5th.
Organisers promise a festival showcasing the best of animated film, with state of the art techniques, competitions for applied animation, short films and student films from Holland and Belgium, with over 1,600 entrants.
It also offers lectures, workshops and the chance to meet animators.
Outside the festival, Utrecht has plenty more in the way of visual attractions, including the Dom Tower and Bruna house.
Bruna house was the home of Dick Bruna, creator of perhaps the most famous animation to come out of the town, Miffy the Rabbit.
Utrecht has plenty of accommodation for visitors, including cheap hotels.
It also has plenty of shopping, eating and clubbing options.
