Get into Gospel in Amsterdam
Holidaymakers staying in cheap hotels in Amsterdam in September will be able to enjoy some unique worship and inspirational music at the Gospel Festival.
This celebration of rousing music and song will be held at the Heineken Music Hall on September 5th and 6th.
The first day will see Kirk Franklin and Berget Lewis & Gospel Train take to the stage, with a potential appearance by Michelle David's Gospel Celebration yet to be confirmed.
On September 6th Tye Tribbett will get the music underway, followed by Edwin Hawkins & Holland Symfonia, with the Pentecost Revival Choir bringing the festival to a close.
The Gospel Festival is the Netherlands' biggest black gospel music event and will this year celebrate its fifth anniversary.
With its roots in the modest surroundings of a community centre, the festival has gradually developed over the past five years and now takes place in a concert hall with capacity for more than 5,000 people.
