Go Dutch for the Best Gardens
Horticulturally-minded visitors to the Netherlands will be in for a treat if they pay a visit to Keukenhof Gardens near Lisse in the south of the country between March 22nd and May 20th 2007.
Open from 08.00 to 19.30 local time, the park will feature a cast of thousands of spring-flowering plants as the park turns into a spectacular display of natural beauty with the vivid colours of a myriad of flowers.
According to the website for the gardens, entrance is €13 (£8.76) per person (€6 for children aged four to 11), while there is the chance to navigate a maze or grab a bite in the Orange Nassau Pavilion.
Keukenhof also has a petting farm for children to enjoy some furry and friendly animals, while visitors can buy bulbs to try to recreate the effects on a smaller scale in their own gardens.
The area has plenty of accommodation for visitors, including cheap hotels.
