Head to Amsterdam for the Holland Festival
Amsterdam will be hosting a cultural celebration fit for an entire country this year at the Holland Festival.
People staying in cheap hotels in Amsterdam will be able to explore this event between May 31st and June 22nd and enjoy everything from music and dance to opera and theatre.
Since 1947, the Holland Festival has been the biggest international performing arts festival in the Netherlands.
This year's event will include a performance by Argentinean composers Osvaldo Golijov and Alberto Ginastera at the Muziekgebouw on June 6th.
Visitors may also be interested in seeing a modern Arabic version of Shakespeare's Richard III at the Theater Bellevue between June 7th and 9th or a new adaptation of Dangerous Liaisons at Stadsschouwburg from June 19th until 21st.
More than 80 performances comprise the Holland Festival's programme and some 80,000 people regularly attend the event.
