Soul Star to Serenade Amsterdam
A legend from the world of soul music will visit Amsterdam as part of an international tour this year.
Al Green will bring his instantly recognisable voice to the Paradiso in the Dutch capital on October 31st.
Green is known to most music fans because of his work in the 1970s, which included the enduring singles Let's Stay Together and Tired of Being Alone.
Recent years have seen the singing legend enjoy something of a resurgence, with his album Lay it Down, which features guest appearances from the likes of John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae, seeing chart success this year.
In 2004 Green was inducted into the Gospel Music Association's Hall of Fame and in the same year was ranked number 65 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.
He will be embarking on a tour over the coming months that will take him to a number of European cities, including Barcelona (October 24th), Dublin (October 26th and 27th), London (November 5th and 6th) and Stockholm (November 8th).
