Music fans heading to the Netherlands could be in for a treat if they make it to Megaland in Landgraaf, where the Pinkpop 2007 festival takes place between Saturday May 26th and Monday May 28th.
The event has a varied and popular line-up of bands, with familiar acts including The Smashing Pumpkins, the Scissor Sisters, Macy Gray and the Arctic Monkeys.
Visitors can buy tickets for the 60,000 capacity open-air venue for €115 (£78) for all three days, €69 for the Sunday or Monday or €59 for the Saturday.
Meagaland is located outside Landgraaf, close to the southern town of Heerlen, just inside the border with Germany.
Heerlen has plenty of accommodation, including cheap hotels.
Although it is best known as a mining town, Heerlen has a number of attractions, such as a bathhouse (now a museum) and other ruins from Roman times, plus the 15th century castle of Kasteel Terworm.
