Sea Food and Eat It

Visitors to New Zealand will be able to see many natural wonders, but at the Kaikouro Seafest in October they will also be able to eat them.

Located mid-way between Christchurch and Wellington, this small coastal town on the South Island is a fine place to include in any tour of the country, but especially so on October 6th 2007.

The Seafest naturally includes a wonderful opportunity to indulge the palate in a range of familiar and sometimes not so familiar offerings of Davy Jones' larder, while also enjoying wine and food from around the region.

In addition to this, there is plenty of music and entertainment, with visitors staying in cheap hotels able to join in the fun in the Big Top Bash for NZ$15 (£5.17), according to the festival website.

As well as the edible aspect of aquatic life, visitors can enjoy making new friends in the sea by swimming with dolphins, as well as undertaking a whale-watching trip.
