Many sports fans will be unfamiliar with the sport of biathlon, an unusual combination of cross-country skiing and shooting, but those who know the sport of who fancy seeing what it's all about can do so at the World Cup event in Oslo in March.
Set in the outskirts of the city at Holmenkollen from March 7th to the 11th, the last of the winter snows will see top biathletes battling it out in a sport whose origins date back to 1767, according to the 18th century, although modern winter biathlon was introduced in 1955, according to the Biathlon World website.
