Christmas Weather

When the phrase El Nino is used, most people think it's something to do with the weather, but in Norway on November 28th it's a major opera in Oslo marking the beginning of the advent season.

The event is a production by the Den Norsk company of John Adam's opera commemorating the nativity.

Adapted from a combination of biblical texts, poetry and medieval texts, the show features the Norwegian National Opera's Childrens Choir.

While the show may put people in a Christmas mood, Oslo itself will offer plenty more for visitors as the festive season approaches.
