Book a cheap hotel in Poland as Chopin museum opens People who book a cheap hotel in Poland might be interested to hear that a new Chopin museum has opened in Warsaw as the country celebrates the composer's 200th birthday.

Frederic Chopin is perhaps one of the most famous people to come out of Poland and as the country names 2010 as Chopin year, visitors to the city can learn more about the maestro and see artefacts that touched his life.

Housing the world's largest collection of Chopin memorabilia, visitors will have the chance to see musical manuscripts and scores, letters and personal items including his diaries.

Alicja Knast, curator at the museum, said: "We want the museum to be a universal, inspiring and thoughtful place, corresponding at the same time with the individual needs of the visitors."

Each room will be dedicated to a moment in the musician's life and work and told from a different perspective. One room is devoted to his death, while another revolves around his time in Paris. This room features Chopin's last piano, from which he made much of his living from teaching students.
