Book Cheap Hotels in Krakow for Modernist Exhibition

Book cheap hotels in Krakow for Modernist exhibition People who book a cheap hotel in Krakow might be among those interested in attending House for an Art Lover - Art in Bohemia and Moravia 1870-1930.

The exhibition claims to present Czech Modernism to Polish audiences for the first time, examining painting, sculpture, print-making and architecture. It promises to "[bring] to life the birth of the Czech avant-garde in all its facets".

A House for an Art Lover was originally an architectural competition, dating back to 1901, which is where the exhibition takes its inspiration.

It will be displayed in the International Cultural Centre (ICC) until April 25th, in Krakow's Old Town.

Other sights to see in the Polish city include the Royal Castle, with state rooms on display as well as a treasury and armoury.

Visitors to the city might be pleased to hear that at the recent 2010 Wanderlust Travel Awards, readers of the magazine voted Krakow as number eight in its Top City list. Taking the top spot was Luang Prabang in Laos, south-east Asia.
