Classical music lovers may just find the pre-Easter period an ideal time to visit Warsaw, with the 11th Ludwig Van Beethoven Easter Festival taking place from March 25th to April 6th (Good Friday).
The festival offers a wealth of works by the great composer, with organisers offering a programme featuring the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and others playing a variety of pieces by both Beethoven and others.
Beethoven pieces on the programme include Piano Concert number three, Symphony F Major number eight, Christ on the Mount of Olives and many others.
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in Warsaw can also enjoy a variety of attractions around the city.
These include the historic Old Town, the revived Jewish Ghetto, which was the setting for the 2002 film The Pianist and a wide variety of inexpensive food and drink.
