Discover Alfred Halasa in Krakow
People with a passion for art can expand the range of work they are familiar with while staying in cheap hotels in Krakow this summer.
From July 17th to September 6th, the Polish city's International Cultural Centre will present a showcase of posters created by Alfred Halasa.
Halasa graduated from the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts and in 1975 joined the Canadian Design Centre at the University of Quebec in Montreal as a lecturer.
The exhibition at the International Cultural Centre focuses on Halasa's poster work, featuring several of his best promotional pieces for films, theatre productions and art shows.
It is part of an ongoing season of events at the centre exploring the work of successful Polish artists who have gone on to work abroad.
The Halasa exhibition will follow a display at the International Cultural Centre exploring the aesthetics of the Bauhaus architecture school, which will run until July 5th.
