Enjoy Some Jazz in Krakow
Cheap hotels in Krakow will prove popular with music fans next month as the city hosts its famous Summer Jazz Festival.
Running from July 5th to 31st, the festival will feature performances by artists from all over the world, starting with the Sincopa Jazz Band from Colombia, who will perform in the city's old town on the opening night.
Other acts that travellers will be able to see in Krakow during the festival include saxophonist Herb Geller, pianist Roberto Magris and singer Karen Edwards.
Performances will take place at various venues around the city, ranging from small cafes, bars and clubs to the town centre and the National Museum.
Ewa Binkin, acting director of the Polish National Tourist Office, said: "Krakow is a very special place and to see jazz music performed against the backdrop of some of Europe's most evocative city scenery is a chance not to be missed.
"There is always a wonderful atmosphere in the city but the last three weeks in July will be extra special as the music takes over."
One of the most important venues for the festival will be the Piwnica pod Baranami - the Cellar under Rams - which served as the birthplace of the Polish jazz scene in 1956.
