Krakow to Host Movie Music Celebration
Cinema enthusiasts will be booking their cheap hotels in Krakow soon to attend a festival celebrating music that has been created for movies.
The Polish city's second International Film Music Festival will take place between May 21st and 23rd this year at a number of venues in the town centre.
Last year's festival saw a big crowd gather to see a screening of the first movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy with musical accompaniment provided by a live orchestra, leading to the second film being included on this year's programme.
The Two Towers will be shown on a large screen and its score, composed by Howard Shore, will be performed in real time, offering a fun and unusual experience for the audience.
Similar events will be held featuring movies with music composed by Tan Dun, who first made his name by creating the score for the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Trips to Krakow could also prove a popular option with music lovers on June 5th and 6th as the city hosts the Selector electronic music festival.
