See Art Boom in Krakow
Cheap hotels in Krakow will prove popular among people with a passion for contemporary art this year when the Polish city hosts its first Art Boom festival.
Due to take place from June 12th to 22nd, the event will serve to promote Krakow as a hub of creativity where art is made not only in studios and workshops but also in public squares and streets.
Artworks will be exhibited in some of the city's most popular public locations, including the squares of Blonia and Planty.
Visitors will be able to see all manner of art forms represented at the festival, from painting and installation to live performance and video.
Art Boom is hoped to play a similar role to the contemporary art gallery that is currently under development in Krakow - showcasing and promoting new pieces of art that could remain on permanent display in public or be integrated into a museum collection.
Travellers more interested in music than art should head to Krakow from July 5th to 31st this year for the 14th Summer Jazz Festival.
