Warsaw Jazz Festival to Hit the Right Note

A top-rated jazz act from the US is set to breathe life into Warsaw's Jazz in the Old Town festival.

Fans of jazz may well enjoy the performances of American guitar sensation Dean Brown, who is described as one of the most daring artists in contemporary jazz.

While the festival takes place on Saturday nights throughout July and August, Brown is set to bring his own style of guitar wizardry to the event on August 12th 2006, the Warsaw Voice reports.

Described as "combining the technique of Larry Carlton with the energy of Jimi Hendrix", Brown has worked with many top American jazz musicians and intends to play tracks from his second album, titled Groove Warrior.

The set, a vibrant mix of jazz, soul, funk and pop, will feature keyboardist Pawel Tomaszewski, a former member of legendary Polish band walk away.

With a wide range of cheap hotels, bars and clubs, Warsaw also provides a busy and exciting nightlife for holidaymakers.
