A Tasty Celebration

A tasty celebration This summer food fans might consider taking a gastronomic journey to Singapore for the country's month-long food festival.

After making use of the country's cheap hotels and cultural hotspots, Britons travelling to Singapore during the month of July will be able to treat themselves to days of culinary delights.

During the month, the streets are lined with stalls full of local and international titbits, while wandering musicians and outdoor jazz set the tone, WhatsOnWhen.com reports.

Performances and even a food-themed fashion show will be held and tourists will have the opportunity to sample various wines and finger foods outdoors or in the coffee garden.

Experts from around the globe will be on hand to provide cookery tips and carving demonstrations allowing Britons to recreate their favourites back at home.

Last year, some 82,440 visitors were given a taste of local delicacy chilli crab from more than 40 of Singapore's restaurants during the food festival.

The promotion will be running again this summer, with vouchers for the sample available upon presentation of a passport in Chinatown as proof of travel.
