More Tickets to Be Made Available for Singapore GP

More tickets to be made available for Singapore GP People planning to stay in cheap hotels in Singapore in September to see the city host its Formula One Grand Prix will be happy to hear of new tickets being made available.

The organisers of the event said they have received "overwhelming demand" for tickets, with 92 per cent of the original allocation already sold.

In order to cater for this interest, one of the grandstands at the Marina Bay circuit has been adapted and an entirely new stand has been built, meaning that an extra 1,100 seats have been made available.

Three-day passes for these extra seats will be put on sale on July 4th and will be priced at S$698 (£259) each.

There is a very specific reason for the massive demand for tickets to the Singapore Grand Prix – it will be the first race in the history of Formula One to be held entirely at night.

Practice and qualifying sessions will be held on September 26th and 27th before the race itself gets underway at 20:00 on September 28th. Motorsport fans will get the opportunity to see two Formula One races in August, in Budapest and Valencia, followed by events at Spa-Francorchamps and Monza in September.
