Rock out at ZoukOut

Rock out at ZoukOut Clubbers and dance music fans from all over the world will be descending on Singapore in December for south-east Asia's biggest dance music festival.

Held from dusk on December 8th until dawn the next day, ZoukOut aims to get bigger and better every year.

The theme of this year's event is 'the surreal', meaning that clubbers eager to get into the atmosphere should dress themselves in the most bizarre attire they can lay their hands on.

Musically, the all-night event is designed to embrace the types of tunes played at the various evenings held at the Zouk club after which it is named.

This year, legendary British DJ Carl Cox will be one of the headliners, along with Armin van Buuren, who entertained the Singapore crowds at ZoukOut 2005.

Gilles Peterson of BBC Radio 1 fame will also be peddling his eclectic mix of funk and soul.

ZoukOut, which is held on Singapore's idyllic Sentosa island, is not only about the music, as there are always a number of fringe events and activities to keep revellers entertained, including carnival rides, markets, film screenings and live graffiti.
