Seven Up

Seven up Rugby fans for whom the World Cup is not enough of a fix can get more if they head to sunny Singapore in October.

Singapore Cricket Club hosts the International Rugby Sevens on October 27th and 28th, just a week after the World Cup final in France.

The event should give English fans in particular the chance to forget the fact that (in all probability) someone else will be holding the title of world champions.

It will also enable fans to enjoy fast-flowing entertainment as the seven-a-side teams revel in the broad spaces with flee-flowing, running rugby and an avalanche of tries.

Apart from the sporting entertainment, visitors staying in cheap hotels in Singapore will be able to enjoy a wide range of attractions in a city state which combines the traditional, the colonial and the ultra-modern in its own unique style.

Visitors will therefore be able to enjoy temples and culinary treats, vestiges of empire such as the Raffles Club and easy access on a modern, clean transport system.
