Barca Challenge Germany's Champions
Football fans staying in a cheap hotel in Barcelona in the early weeks of December will be able to sample the unique passion and energy with which Catalan fans support their club.
Followers of the legendary Barca are fanatical about their team and the Nou Camp crowd takes on something of a tribal atmosphere on big match nights.
One such night will come on December 12th when Frank Rijkaard and his side welcome German title-holders Stuttgart to Spain for a Champions League match.
Having won the Champions League in the 2005-06 season, Barca relinquished their trophy to AC Milan last year and also missed out on the Spanish domestic title to deadly rivals Real Madrid.
As a club that has been used to winning things recently, a trophyless season is nigh-on unacceptable for Barcelona so they will be approaching the Champions League with grim determination this year.
To further add to the importance of the occasion, the Catalan giants' clash with Stuttgart is the last game of the group phase, meaning that either side could be fighting tooth and nail to guarantee themselves a spot in the knockout phase of the competition.
