Barcelona Church Hosts Goalkeeper's Art

Barcelona church hosts goalkeeper's art People staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona over the coming months will be able to visit the Sant Sever church as it exhibits paintings by Lluis Rene i Padrisa.

Padrisa was one of the outstanding goalkeepers between 1907 and 1914, winning a number of league titles with Barcelona after transferring from Espanyol and also playing for the Catalan national team.

He became a successful artist after his time as a sportsman and produced a considerable body of work, including many paintings of Catalan monuments.

As well as hosting 50 of Padrisa's paintings, Sant Sever church will also present two recently restored baroque works by Joan Gallart.

The display has been organised by the Museu Diocesa de Barcelona and will be held in the exhibition room at Sant Sever church.

Another interesting exhibition being held in the Catalan capital over the coming months is Bodies, a show that takes visitors on a tour of the human anatomy.

People staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona can find this display at the Drassanes Reials until April 22nd.
