Barcelona Gallery Looks at Indian Art
People visiting Barcelona will have the opportunity to broaden their artistic horizons this summer by paying a visit to a new exhibition of Indian art.
The showcase, which has the title Indian Narrative in the 21st Century: Memory and History, will open at Casa Asia on July 1st.
It brings together work by ten artists that represents ways in which cultural figures in India have contributed to the establishment of the country's identity following colonial rule.
The exhibition explores how concepts of memory and history merge with one another, blurring the boundaries between stories and facts.
People staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona will be able to see the show at Casa Asia on Avinguda Diagonal until September 30th this year.
There is also a Casa Asia institution in Madrid, which on June 26th will launch a photographic exhibition exploring Chinese society from 1949 to the present day, containing many rare and historically significant images.
