Barcelona Restaurant Menus Inspired by Famous Writer

Barcelona restaurant menus inspired by famous writer People staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona over the coming months are set to enjoy some interesting foods as restaurants in the city adapt their menus to pay tribute to a famous writer and journalist.

Since January 14th, 20 Catalan restaurants have been offering menus inspired by Manuel Vazquez Montalban, who was known for being a fan of good food.

Montalban made his passion for quality cuisine clear in his books, with many of his characters often frequenting a variety of types of restaurants.

The writer himself was also a regular at a number of eateries, and those establishments will be commemorating him by offering a selection of menus and dishes taken from his books.

Also taking part in the initiative is the cocktail bar Boadas, which will be serving a drink inspired by Montalban.

The idea was prompted by an exhibition on the life of the writer that is being held at Palau Robert, where people staying in hotels in Barcelona will be able to learn more about the life and work of Montalban.
